Saute the onions and garlic in the butter/oil on medium high heat until translucent. Add broth, water, pasta, lemon juice, broccoli, basil, salt, and pepper. Cook according to pasta directions, uncovered, stirring occasionally.
When finished, stir in the tomatoes and then the cheese (which helps absorb any remaining liquid). Serve and enjoy!
Notes
If you do not have exactly two cups broth, adding extra water in place of the broth works fine. *If you don't have both cheeses on hand, replacing one with the other is still delicious. I like the little spiciness the pepper jack cheese gives.
