{All Raw} Orange Date Bars

A delicious & healthy dessert (or breakfast) bar that doesn't involve any cooking because they are made of all raw ingredients!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup pecans
  • 1 cup almonds
  • 1 cup gluten free flour mix
  • 2 cups dates (remove pits)
  • 4 TBS maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 orange (juice & zest)

Instructions
 

  • Soak dates in juice of orange for about 30–50 minutes. Set aside.
  • Crust: Grind the nuts until almost like flour. Mix in flour, cinnamon, & maple syrup.
  • Filling: Blend the soaked dates with the juice and orange zest.Press half the crust mixture into a square 9x9 baking pan. Spread the filling on top of mixture.
  • Freeze until a little firm and then place the remaining crust mixture on top. Freeze until firm, serve, and enjoy!

Notes

*If you have any leftover bars, you can store them in the freezer for about a week.
