Hooray—summer is so close I can practically taste it! It’s seriously my favorite time of year. There’s just something about the promise of less activities on the schedule, lightening bugs in the evening, and less structured school time that makes me giddy. Sure, I still have a bazillion things to do as a mom (does the to-do list ever end?), but maybe it’s the nostalgia of those lazy summer days from my own childhood that has me daydreaming already.
One of my littles is in speech and just had his last day, and now he’s all done! I wanted to thank his teacher for all the attention she has given him this year with a little treat.
Sweet Teacher Appreciation Gift Tags
I love dressing up any gift, but I noticed that all of the teacher appreciation tags that said “A little treat for a teacher so sweet” placed all the focus on the words “treat” and “sweet.” The “teacher” part felt like an afterthought—and I wanted the spotlight to be on her!
So, of course, I decided to make my own teacher gift tags, with the emphasis on “teacher so sweet” instead. My son signed his name on the back of the tag, and we attached it to a little baggie filled with Lindt Lindor chocolates and a few lemon truffles. He was so excited to give it to his teacher that he insisted on carrying it himself as soon as we got out of the car. His teacher truly appreciated the gesture and the fact that we had taken the time to think of her!

Each Sweet Teacher gift tag measures 2.5 x 2.5 inches, with 12 tags per page on standard 8.5 x 11-inch paper. You can print them at home or take the file to your favorite local print shop. Feel free to print as many as you need! In hindsight, I totally should’ve brought a couple for my son’s gymnastics teachers—but of course, I spaced it! Next time!
For the best results, I recommend using white premium cardstock. Once printed, cut out the tags using scissors or a paper cutter. You can sign it if you’d like, then attach to your gift or treat using tape or twine. It’s quick, easy, and adds the perfect personal touch!
