Super cute ideas for a Pink Elephant Baby Shower! This post may contain affiliate links.
Two of my girlfriends and I threw a pink elephant baby shower for our friend who is pregnant with her first. The shower came together beautifully and we all had fun spoiling the mama-to-be!
Pink Elephant Baby Shower Ideas
First off, I am a big proponent of having balloons or something outside so that guests can quickly see where the party is at, especially for those that have never been to the house before.
Thankfully everyone made it to the party and didn’t get confused by the arrow on the chalkboard which was pointing away from the house. Oops! See I wrote the sign at home and completely forgot about the arrow when I was setting everything up. My husband actually noticed it when I was showing him pictures of the party. Ha!
Did I ever mention I LOVE my chalkboard signs?! I have used them over and over again for party after party. So glad we made them for our Soup & Hat Party last year!
For the entry table, we had envelopes for guests to fill out their addresses. This makes it so much easier for the mama-to-be to get her thank-you cards out since she has enough to worry about!
Oh and psst… if you are in need of them, I have matching thank-you cards with the baby elephant in my Etsy shop.
I was VERY pleased how the “guest book” or guest frame turned out!!! You can find lots of these designs already made for you on Etsy, but I decided to create my own. It was a bit tricky with the bakers twine to give it a 3D affect, but it finally came together!
Do you like it?! You are in luck! You can download the baby elephant guest book for free HERE.
There were goodies and elephants literally everywhere! Perfect party, right?! ๐
Along with the treats, my friend prepared a full luncheon and baked these amazing elephant cookies.
As you can see my friend is quiet talented in the baking department. All the food was delicious and beautiful and can I just say that these cupcakes she made were exquisite!
My other girlfriend is quite the party thrower. She is incredibly talented and comes up with the cutest ideas. She took the mama-to-be on a photo shoot and then framed a few of the pictures for the baby shower, which I thought added such a perfect touch. Definitely going to do that for the next baby shower I throw!
To match the guest book, I designed these baby bingo cards which are available in both pink and blue for download HERE. Playing baby bingo is a GREAT way to keep guests entertained while the mama-to-be is opening gifts. Everyone enjoyed playing it and of course we had a prize for the winner.
Another activity we had at the shower, was headband making. This was such a great idea that my friend put together to have guests make little head bands for the new baby. She had all sorts of headband accessories: ribbons, buttons, flowers, etc. along with picture tutorials to help everyone get started.
To show her thanks, the sweet mama-to-be baked cupcakes for everyone to take home.
Our Pink Elephant Baby Shower was definitely a success! ๐

Hello, can you tell me what type of paper you used for the baby elephant guestbook? Hosting a shower later this month and I adore this idea!

Hi Katie,
I’m glad you like the little guestbook! ๐ I used white heavy cardstock. Hope you have a great time planning the baby shower!

Love love love your elephant balloon guest book idea. I’m hosting a baby shower for a mamma who is into giraffes. Anyway you could tell me how to do a giraffe?
Aspen Jay says
Thanks Joyce! I used a computer design program called Illustrator to draw out the elephant. You could always free hand draw one. Sorry I don’t have a giraffe for you, they are on my list of future creations. ๐ Hope you have a wonderful time preparing for the baby shower!

I absolutely love this, especially the envelope addressing station! That is such a genius idea! Considering I’m pregnant and my sister-in-law is asking me for baby shower ideas, I will be sending this her way.

I’m joint hosting a baby shower for the first time ever for my ex-boss! I absolutely LOVE you guest book idea. Can you tell me how you did it? She’s just redone her house and it would be perfect to add a little colour to her nursery
Aspen Jay says
Hi Carys,
Are you referring to the Elephant balloon sign in? -I just want to make sure we are on the same page. ๐ When are you throwing the baby shower? I made the elephant print and the balloons were size 1 1/2 inch circles. I am going to make a tutorial on how to make it soon- just let me know when you need it. If I won’t have the post done by then, I’ll send you the print and a few more tips via email. ๐
Thanks for stopping by!
Cheers,
AJ

Hi AJ,
Her shower is on 27th February. It is the Elephant balloon sign I’m referring to :-). That would be truly amazing if you could send some tips. I’ve got a hole punch that I can use for the balloons. I look forward to your post! Thanks so much!
