Will you be hosting a get together in the winter months ahead? Perhaps a holiday party like an Ugly Sweater Affair or maybe you are throwing a White Elephant bash. Or maybe a bridal or baby shower?
Awesome! Because I have the perfect idea for you!
Why not set up a hot cocoa bar for the event? A hot cocoa bar involves very little prep and doesn’t require much upkeep during the party.
Really all you need are cups, hot chocolate, fun toppings and you are in business! Of course a few embellishments here and there to brighten up the table always help add to the ambiance… like fun labels! π
Hot Chocolate Bar Labels
To help you out, I’m sharing some printable hot chocolate bar labels that will easily help you dress up your array of delicious toppings at your hot cocoa station!
You see my husband and I enjoy throwing a caroling party every December and we have always served hot cocoa. Our hot chocolate bar changes each year but there are a few items and ideas that I have reused. These printable hot cocoa labels are one of those things!
The hot chocolate bar labels are an excellent way to spruce up your tasty toppings while also being functional (the caramel candies can get confusing sometimes! π ).

Assembling your Hot Chocolate Bar Labels
You can print the labels at home or at your local print shop. I recommend printing them on card stock but honestly regular print paper will get the job done if you are in a rush.
Cut out the labels, hole punch a small circle opening on the top to string twine through (I like bakers twine to make it a little more festive), and then attach it to the toppings!
You could also use double sided tape to directly attach the label to the jar without the use of twine. I did this for our whipped cream bottle, after dressing it up in a bit of wrapping paper which helps give it a more clean look.
I serve and display my toppings in various size jars and found these mini wood scoop spoons very helpful in scooping the sweets out.
Recreate the look:
Nothing completes a cold day more than a warming up by the fire savoring a cup of delicious hot cocoa! Well a bunch of fun toppings with cute labels could make it even more enjoyable!!!

Hello, Iβm trying to get the free labels but it still wants my credit card. So are they still free?
Aspen Jay says
Hi Beverly!
Yes they are! Just scroll down and where you see “To download your printable hot cocoa labels click HERE!” click on the link there and then check your downloads folder. You won’t be asked for any credit card info. You may have clicked on the “need more labels” which provides tons more labels and those cost a little. Go get your free labels and set up an awesome cocoa bar!

I went through the download process but the labels template is not on my computer. I am happy to pay for these labels if you can help me through the process. Thanks.
Aspen Jay says
Hi Dee,
Let’s see if we can figure this out together… so you downloaded the hot chocolate labels and couldn’t find them? When you click on the link, it will automatically send the zipped file to your downloads folder. Did you check there? The file is called “AspenJay-hot-cocoa-labels.zip”. You will need to double click on the file to open it. Let me know how far you get in the process so we can get you the labels!
Cheers,
AJ

Could you email it to me? When I download it, itβs just a bunch of words, not actually the tags
Aspen Jay says
Hi Joey, let’s see if we can figure this out. What type of device are you downloading the tags on? It works best on a laptop or desktop computer not so well on an a iphone or ipad. When you downloaded it, it was a zipped file correct? When you opened the file, what program did it open it? Just let me know so we can trouble shoot this in case anyone else is having the same trouble as you.
Cheers,
AJ

I love this so much! I used it recently at a church event and it was a HUGE HIT! I actually printed these out laminated them and hole punch them so that I could use them over and over again. My question is I would love to be able to do some different toppings, is there anyway to edit these or purchase a file that I could edit and make different ones than what youβve provided?
Aspen Jay says
So glad you liked the labels Haley! That makes me so happy to hear. That’s a great idea to laminate them. π I can definitely customize the labels for you to whatever ones you want. Just purchase one of the customization listings in my shop and select “one item” and I will make all the changes for you. Hope you have a very Merry Christmas!

Ive tried several different programs and different computer to print and neither can read/load the contents, word pad comes up in a bunch of codes. Please advice, would love to have these printed for my Christmas Eve party Cocoa bar.
Aspen Jay says
Hi Apryl,
You will want to open the file up in Adobe Reader, which you can download for free, just click on the link. π
Cheers,
AJ
Crystal says
Hello, Iβm trying to print the codes, and the only thing that comes up is a bunch of coding info. Is there another way around this link to print?
Aspen Jay says
Hi Crystal!
Let’s see if we can figure this out!
When you say “trying to print the codes” you are meaning the hot cocoa labels right? So what happens when you click on the link? Did you check your downloads folder? The file is in a zip file format so you will need to double click on the file to open it up to access the cocoa labels. Perhaps did you try a different computer? Let me know!
Cheers,
AJ
