Is anyone else ready to be done with this 1 digit degree weather?!?!
It is SOOOOOOOOOOOO bitterly cold!!!!! It’s just plain white outside!
But thankfully we like to crank up the heat in our house. Enough for our baby to walk around in just a diaper. 🙂
I am definitely ready for the change of seasons and looking forward to walking outside without fifty layers of clothing on!
In preparation for warmer weather, I wanted to share with ya’ll a flower guest book I created for a garden themed party I helped host a little while back. It was to celebrate the birthday of the Relief Society, the women’s organization I belong to at church.
The event consisted of teacups, flowers, doilies, big hats, and chicken salad! It was a perfect affair to throw to welcome the coming of spring. You can read more about the event in this post.
For the party, I thought it would be fun to create a guestbook for everyone to sign at the event and then display it at church. It was something simple, but a great way to encourage unity between all of the women.
Flower Guest Book
To go along with our garden theme, I created a “flower” guest book. “Bloom where you are planted” was the motif of the evening so I incorporated that into the design as well. The guest book was framed and placed on the entry table along with a few pens and the paper petals for the ladies to sign. Also on the table was a sign giving instruction of what to do.
It looked a little bare at the beginning. But after placing all the petals on, the final product turned out lovely!
You loving this idea? Great! Because I am sharing an editable version of the flower guest book with you today! So you can replace the text and use it for your upcoming Relief Society, baby shower, birthday, or whatever event you are planning! You know how I love using alternative guest books!

Instructions
This guest book is pretty simple to assemble. The only somewhat tedious part was cutting out all the paper petals. The petals don’t have to be perfect so it wasn’t too bad to cut out.
After you download and open the flower guest book, you will be prompted to ‘fill in the form’ (to personalize this, you will need Adobe Reader, which you can download for free here. Or you can always manually write on it). The two lines of green text at the bottom are editable, so you can have it say whatever you want. And the script font that I used can be found here if you want it.
The flower guest book is an 11×14 inch print. The place I had it printed didn’t supply that exact size in cardstock. So I printed it on the next available size (11×17 inch) and then trimmed a little bit off the bottom and top. When I put the guest book in the frame, I placed the glass, which is typically in the front, in the back of the frame. This way I could directly tape the petals onto the flower printable.
I placed the frame on the entry table along with a helpful sign telling them to “please write your name on a petal”. After each lady wrote her name on a petal, I stuck the petals on the guest book using 3D foam squares to give it a little dimension.
And that’s it! Totally doable and pretty cute! It’s a perfect addition to any garden themed event and costs next to nothing.
