My sister threw this awesome dog themed birthday party for her son’s 5th birthday. When she was explaining all the details and activities of the event, I couldn’t help but ask if I could share the party festivities with all of you!
How cute is this to use dog bowls as serving dishes!?! Of course be sure to use new unused bowls. 😉
You know how everyone mixes up their water bottles and you are left with several half empty bottles? A clever idea my sister used is to already have the names of the guests written on the bottles. Problem of the half wasted water bottles solved! And of course she had some extra generic bottles for the thirstier guests.
Dog Themed Birthday Party Activities
The ages at the party varied from 9 months to 7 years, so planning activities was a bit of a challenge. She had premade bone place mats for the children to decorate with crayons and stickers. And everyone received a dog nose to get into the spirit of the party… which surprisingly enough, none of the kids enjoyed besides her son. Go figure. I would have LOVED one of those!
They made dog collars out of ribbons for their stuffed animals and my brother-in-law put on a magic show that was a big hit.
I would like to think that I helped inspire my sister to throw this party, you know with my 9 parties in 9 weeks challenge… but I really cannot take any credit because she is FULL of creative ideas.
Well…. perhaps just a little. 🙂

This looks like a lot of fun! My kids always want their favorite character of the moment for their party theme I always want to do something fun and creative!
