Transform a glass jar into a cute Easter Bunny Jar!
We have a TON of glass jars in our house, can you relate? We send the majority off to recycling which I feel bad about sometimes because I know they have such potential! They come in really handy for one thing or another when I am throwing a party (as seen in our Backyard BBQ Party, Western Party, Hot Chocolate Bar at our Caroling Party… basically all of our parties!). I made a Pumpkin Jar Craft a few months back which turned out well, so I decided to apply the same method to dress up an old jar for Easter. I thought this little Easter Bunny Jar turned out pretty cute, if I don’t say so myself! ๐
SUPPLIES:
- Jar
- Paint Brush
- Painters Tape
- Scissors
- Acrylic Paint
- Matte Clear Sealer
- Glue
- Small White Pom Pom
DIRECTIONS:
I drew a bunny on a piece of painters tape (don’t worry if you don’t think you are artistic, there are a lot of free bunny templates online). Placed the bunny cutout on the jar and taped the top of the jar. I used 4 coats of acrylic paint, let each layer dry completely (just take my word for it!) and then sealed it with a coat of a matte clear sealer.
After the sealer was done drying, I carefully peeled off the tape, secured the pom pom on the jar with a bit of glue to make the bunny’s tail, and wrapped a few rounds of bakers twine to finish it off.
Pretty simple craft, right?! And inexpensive, as all I had to purchase was a bag of candy. Wait, take that back… I will have to purchase two bags of candy if I hope to give this to anyone, because the candy level has drastically fallen thanks to my two little boys. ๐
Hope you have a very happy Easter!
