What’s in a Name?
Hiya! So many of you know we are expecting our 4th boy in May (check out our fun gender reveal). We are ecstatic!
But one thing I’m not excited about…
almost dreading…
is trying to decide on a name for our new little guy. Let’s just say we called our third child “baby” for the first two weeks because we couldn’t decide on a name. I know! Horrible right?!
I’m hoping that doesn’t happen this time around and that we can pick out a perfect name for him shortly after he is born (at the latest!).
To hopefully gain a little inspiration, I decided to peruse through family names on familysearch.org. Family Search is a great free online resource that helps individuals discover their family history. It has a HUGE collection of family trees, genealogy records, and resources.
Clicking through my family line (and some lines go back to like 400 AD!), I found a lot of Charles, Williams, Roberts, Alexanders, and Edmunds to name a few. Great sounding names though nothing that really sang to me. But I did discover that I have ancestors from Ireland. Who knew I was part Irish?! So now I finally have a good excuse to buy one of those shirts that says “Kiss me I’m Irish”. Because friends, I AM LEGIT! 😉
Shamrock Clover Banner Printable
I designed a fun shamrock clover banner for ya’ll. Because what better way to embrace my ancestry than to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day!
This Clover Banner printable makes it super easy to add a little luck to your your space for March 17th! Simply download, print, cut, and hang. You can print it at home or your local print shop. I definitely recommend printing it on white cardstock because it hangs soooooo much better and is more easily preserved for future use.
To hang the banner, you have several options. You can hole punch two holes through each banner piece and pull your choice of string through (I love this gold and white twine). Or to eliminate any holes in the banner you could tape the banner directly onto your twine/ribbon. Another cute idea would be to use mini wooden clothespins to attach the banner onto the string.
The banner prints one per page and there are two pages. To download your free Clover Banner Printable click HERE. Please note all designs at AspenJay are for personal use only, and cannot be resold or redistributed.
Will you be dressing up your space with this fun clover banner printable? Or better yet, do you have any AWESOME boy name suggestions for me?!?!?! Tag @aspenjay_blog on Instagram or let me know in the comments below, I wanna hear about it!!!

This is so perfect! This year I am hosting my nephew’s birthday party and his birthday happens to be on St. Patrick’s Day. I have almost all the decorations now and we have a carpet cleaning scheduled for the day after the party since I already know we will have stains and messes, ha!

Oh good! I’m so glad that you like the banner! Best of luck with all the birthday preparations and hopefully the carpet cleaners won’t be needed!
