This creative cash gift idea is a perfect option for that person on your list that has “everything”. Super easy and never returned!
Giving gifts for certain people during the holidays can be a bit of a challenge. Can you relate? You know those friends that are really picky or that family member who has ‘everything.’
Well this year in our family Christmas exchange, I was given the name of such a person. On his Christmas list was clothes.
Oh clothes…
With all the different styles going around I didn’t want to purchase him something he wouldn’t like. So I opted in exchange for a gift that everyone uses and never returns: MONEY.
Lame I know, but what if I gave it a bit of a creative twist, instead of just stuffing bills inside an envelope?
Creative Cash Gift Idea
He wanted clothes… so I thought it would be fun to give him money folded in the shape of clothes! I found several tutorials online on how to make shirts, dresses, ties, etc. out of dollar bills. I decided on and designed a simple Origami money outfit. Then dressed up a box with a bit of holiday cheer, constructed a bow, and the gift for him was complete!
By presenting the cash in a creative and pleasing way, he will see that I had made a conscious effort and spent time on his gift. In return, I know he will actually use these ‘clothes.’
One gift down and just a few more to go! How is your holiday shopping coming along? Do you have any creative cash gift ideas you have given in the past or have received?
